TERMS AND CONDITIONS
In order for World Ship to provide consistent superior service to all of its valued members, we require that you read and agree to our terms and conditions.
I. Prohibited and Restricted items
The member has to agree not to ship any item that is prohibited by local, state or federal law. World Ship will not ship any such items and such items may be confiscated. World Ship will provide a sample list for prohibited items, in addition to whatever may be prohibited by the Member’s country. To view the sample list, click here.
Changes to the order:
The member can cancel the order at any time before the preparation of the shipment. No changes can be done once the shipment is prepared, including but not limited to changing the shipping method, adding new packages adding insurance. Any instructions to do so will not be honored.
II. Service
World Ship provides two methods of shipping to its members. We ship using
• Express: Generally takes 3-5 business days. Delivery time is not guaranteed, and may change.
• Economy: Generally arrive within 10 business days. Delivery time is not guaranteed, and may change.
It should be noted that World Ship does not provide any guarantee, explicit or implied on the delivery time. Our responsibility ends once we hand the member’s shipment to the carrier. The member should contact carrier directly when there is any problem with the shipment. Please note that Economy shipping for 40 LB or less is only available for Saudi Arabia.
Shipping charges are based either on the weight or dimensional weight, whichever is higher. Shipping rates are quoted at the time of shipping, and are subject to change at any time.
Any duty’s, taxes that may be assessed on the shipment upon its arrival by the Member’s customs authority is the sole responsibility of the Member, and such charges are not included in the shipping charges.
I. Package Registration
If a member’s package arrives but is not registered in his/her account the member must notify World Ship within 10 business days of its arrival to begin an investigation and locate your package. If you do not file within 10 business days World Ship will automatically deny your claim.
V. Order Preparation
Once the order is prepared, the member has one week (7 calendar days) to pay for shipping charges. Storage fee will be assessed when the Member fails to pay shipping charges within 7 days, and will be charged at the rate of $1/day/order. If the Member fails to pay within 30 days, World Ship will dispose of the shipment, and will reserve the right to suspend or terminate the member’s account.
VI. Personal Shopper
World Ship provides a personal shopper service – where World Ship buys on behalf of its Member. The fees for this service vary depending on the Member’s plan. World Ship will not buy any illegal items or from sites that appears suspicious. World Ship will only buy from reputable sites.
Once the order is placed, it cannot be canceled or changed.
IV. Storage
World Ship allows its members to store shipments at its warehouses free of charge for up to 45 days per shipment. After that, world ship will charge $1/day/shipment. After 60 days World Ship will liquidate or destroy the item.
III. Insurance
World Ship provides insurance to express orders through the carrier. The Member must add the insurance by entering the Declared Value before submitting the shipping request. The customs declaration form must match the declared value.
World Ship is not responsible for any lost or damaged shipment. However, if the shipment is insured, World Ship will assist the member file a claim with the carrier. In the event of a claim, the payment will be based on either the weight of the consignment and/or the amount or the percentage of the value that you have declared and will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of the shipping carriers' airway bill(s)
At this time, no insurance is available for Economy orders.
VII. Fraud
When World Ship suspects a fraud in payment, customer identification or the use of World Ship account for any fraudulent activity, World Ship will reserve the right to terminate the member’s account.
IX. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement with a written notice. World Ship reserves the right to terminate any member’s account when violating this agreement or at its own discretion.
XI. Power of Attorney
World Ship Members must appoint World Ship as the agent for the performance of customs clearance, preparation of shipping documents, with full power of attorney to act as an agent of the World Ship Customer to the extent allowed by law for the specific purposes enumerated in this Section, including without limitation preparation of a certificate of origin, an SED, an airway bill or any other document required to ship merchandise to Member.
